Privacy Policy of Xelpurge

Last Updated: June 2026

Xelpurge is a local storage cleaning application designed to help users clean junk files, duplicate media and redundant cache to free up phone storage. This Privacy Policy complies with Google Play Developer Policies and Android privacy regulations, clarifying how we access and protect your local device data.

1. Required System Permissions & Usage Purpose

Xelpurge only applies for essential permissions to implement core cleaning features. All scanned file and media data will be stored locally on your device only, without uploading to any remote server.

1.1 All Files Access (android.permission.ALL_FILE_ACCESS)

This permission is mandatory and cannot be replaced by other storage permissions. Xelpurge relies on this access to scan junk cache, residual installation packages, useless archives and unused documents across the full device storage. Separated media permissions only access image and video folders, which cannot support comprehensive full-storage cleaning functions.

1.2 Read Images & Read Video Permissions (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO)

We use these two permissions to scan duplicate photos, blurry screenshots, expired video cache and large invalid media files, allowing users to identify and clean media junk to release storage space. We never copy or upload your personal photos and videos externally.

2. Local Data Storage Rules

All scan logs, cleaning task records and app configuration settings are saved exclusively on your local device. We do not build any user cloud database. You can clear all local app data at any time through Android system application settings to erase all historical scan records completely.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We will never sell, rent, trade or share your local files, photos, videos or device storage information with any third-party companies, advertisers or institutions under any circumstances.

4. Third-Party Services

The app may integrate official Google Play advertising services to maintain free operation of Xelpurge. Advertising SDKs only collect anonymous device identifiers for basic ad display, and have no authority to read your local files, pictures or videos. You may turn off personalized ads in your Android system privacy settings.

5. Your Data Control Rights

6. Modification of This Policy

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy occasionally. We will remind users of important changes inside the application. Your continuous use of Xelpurge after policy updates indicates your agreement to the revised terms.
